I’m researching TKD Korean terminology and have found that baro means straight and bandae means opposite. Unfortunately, all Kukkiwon materials (2006 print textbook, and 2008 DVD textbook) have it wrong. I see you have it like Kukkiwon, but if you look in a Korean dictionary you will see the real meaning of these terms. Also, I have an old ITF Taekwon-Do text book that has baro as straight and bandae as opposite.
Let me know your thoughts on this. I am trying to communicate with Kukkiwon about it.
Thanks.
