TLC Taekwondo was formed in October, 2000 when the new recreational center opened at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. TLC Taekwondo @ JFBC was created with one goal in mind: to provide martial arts instruction in a Christian environment. The instructor of TLC Taekwondo is Master Terry Wassink.Terry is a 4^th degree black belt certified through the Kukkiwon in Seoul, Korea through the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF).Â Terry is a member of Johnson Ferry Baptist ChurchÂ and volunteers in the Childrenâ€™s Ministry.Â

TLC Taekwondo is part of the Universal Martial Arts organization under Masters William and Candy Lenix. Master William Lenix is a 7^th degree black belt in Moo Duk Kwan Taekwondo, a 7^th degree black belt in Moo Sa Do (Way of the Respectable Warrior) and also holds 6^th degrees in judo and jujitsu. He was inducted in the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2000 because of all of his contributions to the martial arts. Master Candy Lenix trained her entire life in Muay Thai growing up in Thailand and is a 5^th degree black belt in Taekwondo. Their son, Master Mitt Lenix, is a 4^th degree black belt in Taekwondo and is an eight time national champion in Taekwondo as well as the reigning World Champion for the ISKA Creative Breaking and High Kicking Championships.
